Our 13-year-old asked for chicken parm for her birthday dinner and originally wanted Olive Garden. We love supporting local when we can, so we suggested Picone instead, and I’m so glad we did. Every single thing we ordered was so thoughtfully done. The Chicken Parm Pesto was incredible. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the pasta was cooked just right, and the pesto added so much fresh flavor without taking away from the classic chicken parm. The Birria Crunchwrap was packed with the crunchy outside, the tender-flavorful meat, melty cheese, and the pickled onions absolutely made it. They added the perfect fresh bite that balanced everything out. Such a good combination. The smash burger was exactly what you want from a smash burger. Crispy edges, juicy in the middle, and full of flavor. AND THEIR SAUCE 🤤🤤 But can we talk about those potatoes? They deserve a spot on the menu all by themselves. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, perfect, and the kind of side you keep reaching for long after you told yourself you were full. The Caesar deserves its own little moment too. Crisp romaine, dressed just right, and balanced enough that every bite was just as good as the first.

I came to Picone in Denton back in May, and this spot absolutely lived up to the hype. It was my first time visiting, and the menu had me interested right away. I started with the burnt carrot with honey and lemon ricotta, and that flavor combination was smooth, slightly sweet, and way better than I expected. I also tried the meatball grinder with beef and pork meatballs, Sunday sauce, provolone, parmesan, and black garlic Calabrian chili. It had a nice little kick, full flavor, and was messy in the best way. The chicken parm pesto was also solid, and the sauce was definitely on point. What really makes Picone stand out is that the menu changes weekly, so it gives you a reason to come back and try something new. The food was creative, flavorful, and worth the visit. Definitely a Denton spot I would recommend and come back to again.

I have been wanting to try Picone for a long time and I am so excited to say it was worth the wait! We stopped in and were greeted right away by the friendly staff. I really like the Counter Service style they have here as it makes the whole experience super casual with great food. We started with the burnt carrots which were outstanding. Super flavorful and the delicious Ricotta really added to the experience. For entrees we had the Chicken Parmesan with Sunday Sauce and the Chicken Parmesan with Marsala. Both were outstanding, crispy, and cooked perfectly. Outstanding restaurant and I am already excited to come back! Highly Reccommended!

I really don’t understand why this place is rated so highly. The food is incredibly average for the price point. The pasta was served cold and undercooked, and the chicken cutlets were unappealing, containing a lot of fat and mixed dark meat. While the Burrata itself was okay, the bread was completely saturated in oil, incredibly soggy with a random bite of burnt bread. Given the high cost versus the poor quality you receive, I definitely would not recommend this place.

Great hole in the wall with a very limited menu. However, what they do have they do it really well! Ordered the chicken parm Alfredo & smash burger. Both were excellent. Very helpful & friendly staff. Older quaint building- but it works. Definitely will be back.
